One Of the notable changes in our social environment in the twenty-first century is the saturation of .our culture and‘ dailylives by the mass media. The media has demonstrated potentially profound effects, both positive and negative.
Both print media and electronic media are big sources of mass communication. They give us information about different cuItUral, social and political systems around the world. They give us current news about what is happening across the globe. But, at the same time, they provide news and information that may cause damage to peaceful life. Sometimes they destroy moral values. For example, the media promotes an unrealistically thin body as an ideal one. It somehow promotes eating disorders, especially among adolescent girls.
The concerned authorities should, therefore, try to print, broadcast or telecast items that can build up the moral values of the society.
